Any one around here ever had any severe abdominal pain that the Dr's couldn't identify ? Just wondering .... I have dealt with this off and on since rny but Sunday night was the worst pain of my life. Went to the ER and they did blood, urine, and CT scan and said everything looks fine. I have spoken to my surgeon and he has no idea's either. Sorry this is not workout related , just reaching out to see if any others have had something like this.

have they scoped you?
Adhesions maybe?

A Twisted / perforated bowel, gal bladder, appendix, Gas,  pancreatitus... It could be anything really. If it is severe, you need to go back in until it is identified, continuous and relentless abdominal pain is NOT good bro... Get a second opinion!

I had severe pains one evening and with in a couple hours is was in a fetal position and couldn't move.  Finally made it to the ER and they done a CT and I had a twisted bowel.  I wanted to talk about options, but they were surgery with in the next 60 minutes or die.  Not much of an option.

Dude, have it checked out....again.  Might be nothing, might be bad.  I thought I was just constipated.

The only pain I had was gallstones and it would get worse if I ate something really fatty.
Haven't had the issue since they took out the gallbladder.

Good luck, I hope they find a source of your discomfort or that it resolves soon.

When I would have a gall bladder attack I would have pain in my abdominal area as well as my back...but the only way they could diagnose me was a ultra-sound....I agree with Dan, go back and get a 2nd or 3rd opinion until they figure it out!!!  Hope you start to feel better!!!!

Nate - agree with several of the above posts, severe abdominal pain is NOT normal.  Try your surgeon again and see if he will scope you.  If he won't help, find a GI doc that will.  Could be any number of things, some easily resolved and others may require some "nip & tuck".  Thinking and praying all goes well for you.  Mike

Don't know if you ever figured this out, but I have had severe pain like this a few times. I think they were caused by different things. The most common has been dehydration. This past year while on vacation my wife and I were traveling and I went 6 hours or so without drinking much of any thing. I was concentrating on driving and getting down the road. It starts out as a mild gnawing feeling and then turns into a severe pain. When I started to try to figure out what was wrong I realized I hadn't drank much of anything. Started to pour water down. It still took a while  for the pain to subside. Another time I was eating beef jerky and I think I ate to much and didn't chew well enough. There was another time I was eating a salad and had the same pain. I think I ate to much to fast. I have had it last for several hours. Tylenol seems to help .Hope you figured it out.
