I love it! Yes, I will leave the negative thoughts behind. There is no room for it or need. Thanks again. You all have truly inspired me along the way.

I'm saying a prayer for you, but you don't need it - you got this :)  Tapering makes us wacky.  But trust me, rest and feel good about the rest.  Trust me, at mile 22 you'll be thinking, man, I am GLAD I rested!  :)  Don;t worry about carrying those extra pounds  - trust me again, you won't be carrying them the whole 26.2, you'll leave a few on the road along the way :)

Everything is going to come together for you.. Positive thoughts!

I've learned I'm more of a type A person than I thought. I like following the program to a T and ditching the plan for a couple of days to heal has driven me nuts! I've questioned everything I'm doing or not doing in the last few weeks. Ugh! Thanks for your reply. It truly helps. You all have inpsired me to keep on pushing. Thanks again!

You have already done the work.  The event is the enjoyment you get for all the hard work you have done.
The excitement will help carry you early on, use it to get into your rythym, have fun enjoy the world.

You Can and You Will be successful.
Just by making it to the start line you have done so much more than many people will ever attemp.
Every little bit beyond that is just another feather in the cap.

Go out and earn your applause as you cross the finish line.

Trust your training and think positive thoughts.  Now is the time to envision yourself crossing the finish line.  Imagine the relief, the joy.  Think about the mantras that will get you through those tough moments on the course.  Every time that thought of "I can't do this" enters your mind, replace it with one of your chosen mantras.

I usually need a few.
Some make me smile .... "Just keep swimming.  Just keep swimming."
Others empower me ...."I am strong.  Watch me run."
Others are simply functional ...  "Use the core, relax the shoulders."

You've got this!

I have no advice, as I've never experienced anything beyond a 5k.  What I can do is keep you in my thoughts and send lots of vibes of strength your way.  You CAN do this - if there is anything I've learned through WLS it's that success is completely related to mindset.

Don't worry... the weight gain is actually a good thing because it means you are topping off your glycogen stores and also it gives your body some extra fat to burn for energy.
