Did a 75 min Zumba class this morning, 15 extra min because it was Thanksgiving OMG. Fun but tough. Congratulations to all of us who did our best to stay healthy on Turkey Day.

Decided at least minute to run our local 10k. This has steadily become a very popular event, and now has more than 2,500 people attending (and that doesn't count the 5k crowd) I did this course 2 years ago and it is a hilly, butt kicker. The final 1/2 mile seems almost straight up-hill.
Since I was running solo I needed to keep track of my own pace and decided to take it easy, but that only lasted for the first half of the race. At mile 4, I decided to start upping my pace by 15 seconds, mile 5 another 15. Then as I got to the final hill I decided that I would start picking people off. I passed over 30 people on the way up the hill and crossed the finish line in 52'57". Left everything out on the course, but it felt great to stumble across that finish line. Now it's back to longer runs.
