Are there any time limits for 5Ks? I want to walk a 5K in January, but it might take me close to an hour.

Each event is different, but LOTS of people walk at 5K events!  GO FOR IT!

Go to coolrunning.com and look for results in your state. You will see what kind of times people are doing at your local races. I do many races where people finish around an hour. Some advertise as a run/walk, fun run or end in the word trot. Those tend to have more walkers. No matter though, you will be fine. Good luck.

If there are time limits at the events, it usually means that you have to move to the sidewalk and finish without assistance (such as walking across street intersections, etc.).  Most 5ks go at least an hour before the volunteers get bored.  Sign up and do it and just have fun.
