I have been going over and over in mind what my appeal letter would say, when I was inevitably turned down for my plastic surgery. It sounds pretty damned convincing!

However, I received my letter today from Group Health and I AM APPROVED!!!!!!

I am hoping that I can get in before the end of the year.....

A bit nervous. Okay, A LOT OF NERVOUS, scared, what-if's...but going to do it. I didn't have any drains withy my LAP RNY...but will have two with this one.

I'm going to get up my nerve to take pics like Dan (will wear sports bra though, thank you very much).

EEEKKK!!!!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Congratulations!!!  What a huge relief, I'm sure.  My plastics journey will begin with consults starting in Jan. and the hope of having it in the late spring/early summer - I hope like hell I'll get the same insurance response you do, otherwise it'll be years of pinching pennies and even doing that I have no idea if it'll be feasible.

That's awesome!  When I first started this journey I thought oh I can't do plastic surgery, I was just happy to be able to get the surgery.  But now after losing this weight, I am thinking you know that ps might not be a bad thing.   Not sure my insurance will cover though.  But glad yours is!

My insurance covered almost all of surgery, maybe it will pay something on PS.

Anyone kknow about BCBS Federal?
