I PR'd on my 5K Saturday (which had 4 hills!!) and finished it in 29:43!!! I am ecstatic!

My very first 5K ever was January 1st of this year and it was over 38 minutes and was barely a jog the entire time - this is proof that it can be done.

Now, I know this isn't fast to a lot of people but to me and my short-legged self, I am pumped! If I can do this Sunday's half in 2:30 or less, it will seal the deal for a nice closure to running season (minus my 8K on Thanksgiving morning).

Yippee!

Be happy.

Congrats on the 5K time!  Any time under 30:00 (in my opinion) is worth crowing about!  I hope to be there someday myself!

Good luck on the Half!  Don't worry about your time - but 2:30 would be spectacular!  Just finishing the distance is a big deal for us WLSers. When I finished my first Half four weeks ago, I was beyond ecstatic, even though my time was, well, pretty awful at 3:18.  I'm doing another one in three and a half weeks and hope to break 3 hours.  Again, GOOD LUCK!

GREAT JOB!

Your time is awesome, especially compared to your first try!  All that distance work really does help on your 5K.  I improved my time by 7 minutes which i thought was remarkable - you kicked my PR's butt!  whoohoo!!

Good luck on your half and your turkey trot!
