RW article suggested being sore after a long= lack of being prepared?
I read an article in RW that suggested if you were sore a day later after a long run, you are under trained. Being unprepared or under trained is one of my fears. I've followed a good program and I completed the "longest practice run" on Saturday. I did 20 miles. It was VERY windy and I started off doing a one legged wobble (shin issues****il the muscle relaxed so I think it may have caused my hip to be sore. I assumed between the wobble for 1.5 miles and the wind was what made me sore, but this article suggest sore issues are the result of being under trained. What do you guys think?
If you run 20 and are NOT sore, you either did not run hard enough or are NOT human... Don't believe all that crap... There was probably an add following the article for a product like "Sore Legs" or something to that effect...

Okay, thanks Dan! I've got to stop reading so much. I'm driving myself nuts. I just want to be sure I'm doing everything I can to prepare myself. I need to chill and focus on enjoying the journey...even if my body feels like a 70 year old women today. LOL!
Hope you are doing well! What is next for you?

Yeah, I agree with Dan. What utter nonsense.
Of course, it's possible the article was talking about a shorter workout or extreme soreness or something and just wasn't clear, but it's crazy to think you can workout hard and never be sore after unless something is wrong.
I went to a run clinic where they showed a picture of leg muscle before and after a marathon and it was quite shocking how chewed up the muscles were after the marathon. It made me understand why we need extra recovery after something like that.
