I am 4days out and walked up and down the driveway this morning a couple times and felt good so i figured i would try a little longer walk

So i walked down the sidewalk and went .6 miles in 15 minutes and i felt awesome cant wait to go again in a couple hours

Does this seem like too much or not enough???

Thanks Jeff

Doesn't seem like too much, in the first 2 weeks out my surgeon wanted me to walk 2-3 times a day around my neighborhood. Way to go. Great way to prevent any bloodclots.

my surgeon wanted us to walk around 30 minutes per day for the first week or two post-op, so it doesn't sound too much to me.  listen to your body, you've just made a big change.  and i agree, walking is a great way to mitigate against blood-clots.  best of luck and welcome to the board.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Awesome Jeff!!! Sounds like a great start to me! Keep it up and walk - walk - walk. You may be posting your first marathon report some day.

Jeff - you are doing great!  "listen" to your body.  If you are feeling great and want to walk a little more each time, go for it!  You will be amazed at how much more you will be able to do and much better you feel when you do exercise.  Keep up the great job!

I think this is great! I would probably say you could stand to walk even more if you feel ok enough to. You will NOT hurt yourself walking too much.
