 1/4 mile walk warm up
6.5 mile run (well jog) 11.19 min/mile
1/4 mile walk cool down
All on treadmill

Not too shabby considering I did 750m swim just 5 1/2 hours before that.

Hopefully back for a bike simulator workout tonight.

Hi everybody - went to the Y to work out this morning. Only did a 10 minute warmup on the treadmill because it's gonna be in the 70s today and I'm gonna do my walking outside this afternoon! Spent about 20 minutes on the weight machines after my warmup.

Did 5K on the TM, because my outdoors running partner was sick. Can't remember the time, but it was 11 something.

In reading back through the past few posts on this topic, I am finding myself feeling inadequate. I was feeling pretty good. I run 3-4 miles three days a week, two days a week I run one mile (trying to get under a 10 minute mile...yesterday was 10.13) followed by weights. When I see the number of people who casually mention an 18 or 20 mile day...it makes my efforts seem so paltry.

I've been exercising daily for four years. Some of you guys have only had the surgery in the last few months--and are beating the pants off me!!

What gives??? I am 47 5'7" and weight right at 150.

i assure you, there is nothing casual about an 18 mile run :)

try not to compare youself to everybody else too much, everybody has a different goal and are at different fitness and training levels.  the great part about this board is that everybody is supportive of each other regardless if they are just in the walking phase or like crazy dan running ultra-marathons.  just jump in when you can and trust me, your posts are motivating to everybody, so keep them coming!
