Anyone know what the Today Show host (Meridith and Al) and Jarrod the Subway guy did at the ING New York Marathon? I can't seem to find their results. They spoke about it on the Today Show, but they never talked about their times. It's awesome they finished!

I think any type of motivation is good motivation!  I heard a lot of people try to beat Oprah's time. I think she ran it under 4:35.

Oprah seriously ran a marathaon in under 10 min miles? Wow. I would be thrilled with any of their times! Very cool!

Totally inspiring that all of these people gave it a go.  I was very excited for the Chilean miner who did it on pure guts. (I mean, running 6 miles underground is not how most of us would prepare), so cheers to him!

Anyone who stands at the starting line really has already earned my respect.  Celebrities who have the world scrutinizing their results (not saying that's what WE'RE doing, cuz we aren't) deserve kudos for laying it out there.

You are sooo right!! I think we all know what it takes to prepare mentally and physically. It requires a lot of discipline and focus. Good for them!
