6:48 Marathon Pace

No.  I didn't find some magic potion to make me run faster.  I just ran a Canadian marathon where everything was measured in kilometers.     In miles, my average pace was a 10:56.

It was funny seeing the kilometer markers tick by.  Of course they came at quicker intervals, but there were just so many of them.  When we passed the 42 km marker, we were happy that the finish was just around the corner.

Since this marathon came just 7 weeks after our Ironman 70.3, we were a little short on run miles. Our legs really started to feel it after mile 18.

My friend Mike and I finished  in 4:46, which was a PR for me, more than 8 minutes faster than my previous best.
