I was up and out early this morning for a 4.5 mile run through the local trails.  (more like fire roads).  It was an okay run that was kind of uninspired.

What did you do today???

Did the Falling Colors 8K in Rock Hill, NY.  Very chilly, a bit hilly, but a nice long .7 miles or so downhill finish.  Finished around 39 minutes, which means it its one my first sub 8 min mile average races more than 5k long.

Seven mile run first thing in the morning.  I was feeling frisky and actually wanted to get in a longer run but my running partner wasn't feeling so good, so we we went the short distance today, and decided to go longer tomorrow.

Rest day for me, and boy do I need it.  3 mile run last night was rough.  I hit my best time so far at 42 min and 39 seconds, though.

First 5k is tomorrow morning!  :)  It'll be interesting to see how I do on the trail and the grass and concrete compared to mostly running at the track.  And also being in the environment of running with other folks.

Thanks for all of the well wishes in previous threads - the encouragement is really nice!

Have a great weekend.
