c25k weekly check in

So I have had a terrible week. I had been vomiting since Friday. I guess I have some sort of stomach irritation. My surgeon put me on clear liquids (5 days) and attempted to convince me to go to the ER. I declined. (self pay) I see him Friday and I think he is going to order a scope of some sort. Who knows. The good news is, last night I had a little bit of mushy food and I kept it down.
Needless to say, I am tapped and tired. No workouts for me.
Hope you had a better week.

So sorry to hear you are not feeling well.  My week has been busy.  We started a new business and with that in addition to my regular job I have been drained!

I am transitioning to the One Hour Runner Plan.  W9 of c25k and week 1 is the same.  I ran Sunday and Wednesday and hope to tomorrow or Sunday.  I missed Zumba, too!  Hope to get back on track Saturday morning.

I'm so sorry you've been ill :(  Hope you get back to normal ASAP!

I'm in week 9 - 3 mile run tonight and then the 5k race on Sunday!!!  My goal is to finish in under 45 min :)   We'll see what kind of day I have!

I'm meeting with an exercise physiologist today to get a consult on using my employer's workout facilities and to develop a fitness plan.  I want to continue running, but I really need to incorporate some strength building as well.  My abdominal muscles are pretty weak.

I'm so sorry to hear about vomiting! Yuck. Good luck on figuring that out.

I've ATTEMPTED W7D3 TWO times. The first time the daycare lady came and got me, a boy knocked my daughters tooth out. So completely lost my mojo that day. Then tried again yesterday after fighting with my daughter to go to the gym so I was already in a foul mood.

I think I will do the elliptical tomorrow and try running again on Monday. I really think I need to bite the bullet and run before work even though it sucks to get up that early. so I will try my damnest to get my rear end up. I just get to frustrated trying to go after work and something always happens.

Chakara -- Ugh, sick for a week?  Stuff's starting to go around again, so fingers crossed that it's only a stubborn little bug and that you're back in your running shoes again soon.

Brooklyn -- Keep us updated on your One Hour Runner progress!  I'm hoping to build up to 10-k duration by spring and haven't decided whether to just add a couple of minutes a week, or follow a specific program.

Michelle -- GOOD LUCK ON SUNDAY!!!   Don't be nervous, breathe in the experience, and most of all have fun!!

Emily -- Don't give up, once you force yourself over that hump the rest of it will be a piece of cake.  You can do it!

Carol -- 50 pounds, wooooo-hooooo!!!  Congratulations!  Have a wonderful vacation (while those of us in the colder climes stare out at bare trees, grey skies, and wait for the snow to fall LOL) and take lots of pics!

I am at this moment trying to muster up the energy to run this morning.  I work 13-hour days on Thursday and Friday, so generally the first half of Saturday I'm pretty worthless lol.  But, it's almost 9:00 now and we're planning on heading out of here around 11:00 to head down to my in-laws' until tomorrow afternoon so if I'm gonna do it, it's gotta be now. *sigh*  Bigger decision is whether to go down and run on the treadmill, waking my son up in the process, or head outside where it's THIRTY degrees.

I did manage to beat my former longest-time on Wednesday, making it 41 minutes on the treadmill.  I have serious doubts as to whether or not I can do that outside in the freezing air and the uneven surfaces, but I may give it a shot.

Everybody have a great weekend and happy running!!

C25K Week 9, Run 2 tomorrow.  I should have finished last week, but have been slipping day by day, so it's dragging out.  I hope to get my head back into it here soon.  Sorry to hear about your feeling badly, hope that soon passes...  -margaret
