My wife kicks ass.  She bought me tickets to go see Dean Karnazes speek at the never stop exploring series that is happening in San Francisco next week.

I had no idea this was going on.  I thought she just toned me out when I started talking about exercise and running.  You know blah, blah, blah honey, blah, blah, blah, just nod your head and maybe he will change the subject to something I'm interested in, blah, blah.

I really am amazed that she picked this out of all of the conversations I have innundated her with about running, cycling, swimming, and all the other b.s. I spew.

your last paragraph made me laugh.  My wife is back in college studying math.  so we have these bizarre conversations where she spews about math, and I spew about endurance training.  Not sure either of us actually care an iota about the other's subject, but that's what love is right?  :)

I get the same thing from my wife.  She is excited that I am taking care of myself and exercise but hates the time investment.  Unfortunately I can't even talk to her about work because she gets even more of a glazed look and her eyes roll back in her head. LOL
