Runners - I have a foot question......

Ok - so I ran my half marathon last week in my 'race shoes' - these are the pair I've had since I seriously started running.  Well - I bought another pair, same brand but when I did the 10miler in those - I decided my original pair had my 'mojo' - so they became my official racing shoes.

Well - I bought another pair of the EXACT same brand/model of my mojo shoes and wore them this week when working out - I maybe have 5miles on them so far.  When I did my treadmill run Friday morning and came home, my left foot had a 'crick' in it - don't know if you know what that means, but it's a funny feeling that I feel like I just need to 'pop' my foot - kinda like when you crack your knuckles or crack your neck......

anybody else ever have this?  I don't think it's a fracture - the pain and sensation has subsided since Friday but I don't want to run on it tomorrow and it be possibly a serious issue.  My half marathon in San Antonio is 2 weeks away - I HAVE to make it!!!

any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated

Yup, just went and saw a podiatrist friday for this. I, too, loved my first pair of shoes so when it was time to get a new pair I got the same exact ones. Right after my 10k I got the pain in my foot. I took a week off and then walked/ran 3 mi around my neighborhood. Started hurting again. So I stayed off of it until Friday. X-rays showed no problems and it was inflamation which apparently is pretty common. I have to stay off of running for 2 weeks and take advil 3 pills 3x a day for 10 days. This will be a total of 4 weeks of not running but if it means getting to run again without the pain and possible further damage I am in.
