I ran, more like jogged my first 5k this past Saturday! Goal was to finish without stopping...check.  Next goal was do it under 40 minutes...check (26 minutes 49 seconds!!!).  I can not believe how  much my life has changed over the past year.  A year ago, I could not walk a flight of stairs, and now I have rode a century bike ride and also ran a 5k.  Now to find a 10k before the snow flies, maybe next spring.

Congrats!

If you are looking for a race, check out the Holiday ones.  There is usually a "Turkey Trot" in most areas, but if snow is an issue it might not work out in your area.

Great job on the race and thanks for sharing the pictures.

That's great!  I'm running (joggng) my first this coming weekend.  I'm hoping for under 45 min and am pretty certain that's about where I'll be!   But, wow, your time is amazing!  How exciting for you...  And inspiring for me...  Keep up the great work!  -margaret
