Hello all!

I am wanting to start the c25k program but by golly I dont want to end up with black eyes when I get to the running part. As a women who is well indoud upstairs I can wear a regular bra and 2 sports bras and still bounce all over the place.

Is there ANYONE out there that makes a sports bra that offers REAL support for big girls short of duct tape?

HELP!

Yeah I have tried the store and the catalog and I still flop around too much. Maybe I just need to deal with it.

Are you getting the bras that are sized S, M, L, XL or the ones that have a band and cup size? I found the later worked better when it came to support. Heck, they even make that kind with an underwire. I'm about to book out for my support meeting, but I'll list some brands and places to get them when I come back, if someone else doesn't beat me too it.

i was advised by a chiropractor to stuff myself into the tightest sportsbra I could wrestle 'em into - the name of the game is strap 'em down!  I think when i was a 38DD i was smushing into a medium sized sports bra (no wires).  You might try that over a "wired" bra so that you get appropriate coverage along with the compression.

This is the only thing I have found that works for me. I have to keep them "bound."

I wear a size medium sports bra and medium running tank with built in bra. The tank alone is not enough and the bra alone is not enough, but both together make it TIGHT across my chest and perfect for running.

I use a good quality bra, but then I overlay a shapewear tank top over.  It helps suck everything down and makes running less painful.  My boobs shake like crazy, but so does my loose abdomen!  Makes a WORLD of difference.  I use the cheap $20 tank shapers from Fashion Bug - just make sure you get a size that fits you nice and snug .

As you can tell I'm no lady. But, my wife is a well endowed one.  She heard about enell sport bras and found a retail store close to us. She went and tried one on and she loved it. She has no problems now with the tata's jumping around like Mexican jumping beans. www.enell.com

I would suggest going to a Running store and have them fit you for a good sport's bra. It will be an expensive investment, but well worth it. Also, you might shop on-line for a surgical binder bra. When you have a breast enhancement the surgeon orders you a binder bra after surgery. It looks just like a sport's bra. They won't be going anywhere when you wear a surgical binder bra. They lock them in place.

I, too, would suggest your local running store.  They will have the resources to get you fit and sized.  I am a 40DDD now.  I was a 44DDD.  I've lost everywhere except the cup area!  Also, I agree with Mandy and others who suggested a bra and a tank on top.  I wear a Champion 40DDD sports bra and then a fitted tank I got at Walmart.  It's by Danskin and they have up to XXL.  It fits snug to give extra support to my bra and also has an iPod pocket.  Good luck!
