Rode my bicycle to lunch and back...It's still pretty hot here in California for October.  I go to work this evening for a 4 hour shift...about 1 mile of walking.  Then do security for 10 hours tommorow...mostly parking lots...in the sun.  It's going to drain me!!

I should have done some cardio today but I was tired and lazy.

I did about 30 minutes strength training at the gym - legs only
 5'8" - 40 years old

45 minute spin (14 miles)
1 hours hard core body resistance bands, kettle bells, military ropes, hanging harness of hell, push ups, lounges with sliders, and giant rubber band pulling trainer accross gym...I love the names I use for things....60 seconds on, 20 seconds off rotate, repeat....

I am pooped!

I think the official name is a TRX....but for me....hanging harnesss.....fun workout....but tough.....now today to jog/walk out my soreness.....

Your story is certainly a TRIUMPH!! I am 61 now and just had the gastric sleeve. In my early 40's I was pretty fit but not buffed. Now that I am loosing weight I am back to the weight set along with an eleptical and Cardio guide routein. I don't have any plans to be Mr America but do want to build strength and endurance.
Thanks for that great story about yourself and your acomplishments as it is very motivational for an older guy like myself. Mike
