I ran the inaugural Tyler Rose Half Marathon on Sunday, 10-10-10.  Had been scheduled to run the whole but training had not gone as well as I hoped and since this wasn't my A ticket run, I dropped back to the half.

The day was cool, clear and beautiful.  The race was hilly at times, but it goes up through a lot of beautiful old neighbhorhoods and was very well supported by both by volunteers and by the spectators.

I finished in 2:01.  My goal was to finish under two hours.  Would have made it except for a potty break and a shoe that came untied.  I enjoyed the race very much and I hope to run it again next year.

Now it is time to get serious about the White Rock Marathon on December 5th in Dallas.  I know several other folks on this board are planning on participating in that race.  Hopefully we can get together and share some inspiration with each other.

Good luck to everybody and keep on keeping on!

Darrell
