I can say that having walked/run my first 5K I felt nothing but a huge accomplishment.  Just finishing makes it a victory.

My rule of thumb when under the weather... If it's above the neck I roll with it, if the cold is below the neck, it's a no go...

Goodluck!!!!  I was so proud of myself when I finished my first 5k.....I honestly didn't even care what time I came in at.  I was just happy that I had the will power and the strength to cross that finish line.  You will do just fine and will probably run your best time because of the adrenaline rush.  Have Fun!!!
