BCAA's, Glutamine... absorption with WLS
For those who supplement with more than just protein shakes, perhaps you could answer this question.
I am starting the use of BCAA's and Glutamine. (I already supplement protein 3x 30g daily) I wonder if my absorption with a Duodenal Switch makes the cost of BCAA/Glutamine worthwhile, or am I wasting my money? I believe they are supposed to absorb quickly in the small intestine for normal-gutted folks, but with all but 100cm of intestine bypassed, perhaps I won't get the full effect of the supplement.
If you take these, do you take more than the recommended dosage?
