I am making it my goal to exercise 4-5 time a week consisting of 4 miles a day on the treadmill and lifting light weights. What are your goals? Right now I only do 2 miles a day on the treadmill.

I used to have a goal of going to the gym every morning before work.  Now that is no longer a goal, but a lifestyle, and it will be for you one day.  Then I had a goal to ride a century bike ride....check.
Now my goal is a double century in September of 2011.  Then off to the National 24 Hour Challenge in 2012 where i hope to complete 325 miles in a 24 hour personal best ride.

Good luck to all

Sorry, I thought your surgery was coming up, but it was a year ago.  I'm sure exercise is already a lifestyle for you.

you have set some amazing goalss for yourself. I have small goals until I can work myself to bigger goals. I have made it to running a 5k which was lovely and not as bad as I thought. Now I would like to just build myself back to 6 miles a day on the TM. I am trying to keep this part of my life for so many years to come. I wish you the best. thanks Roy.

My current goal is to complete the Insanity workout program on schedule.  No missed sessions without promplty making them up so I finish in 60 days as intended.

After that its to take my running outside.  Who knows, perhaps there is a real runner in me.

I have changed my goals over time. Right now my goals are all about conquering certain events/races/distances. So they are:

1) Complete an Ironman
2) Qualify for the Boston Marathon
3) Complete a Double Century
4) Run a mile in 7:30
5) Complete an Ultraman

But I started out a lot smaller than that. My first goal was to workout at the gym more than 2 days a week!

You are on a serious mission! Starting small helps you to keep going and pushing forth. Excellent! I started off just walking slow. Now I am running a mile in 9 minutes. You motivate me to aspire for a marathon..lol.
