Protein absorption

So as I enter the next phase of my wls journey I'm looking to start bulking up and building muscle. My question is, does anyone know how much protein our bodies absorb roughly? I was told once 25g at a time. This makes the difference on whether or not I use 2 scoops 52g or 1 scoop 23g.

Not sure on the absorption but I spread mine out. I do a scoop about every hour or 90 minutes.

I have no intentions of doing cardio because I want to bulk up and I know cardio will slow that down.

I lift weights 4 days a week giving 3 days for rest.

I don't believe there is any concrete evidence that we malabsorb protein after about 1 year post-op. The average rule of thumb is 1 gram of protein for every 1KG of body weight. So, for every 100 pounds you weigh 62 Grams. @ 200 pounds = 124G etc... There comes a point where your body cannot effectively use a whole lot more than that, and it's no big deal, you just crap it out...

Well I'm trying to figure out how many shakes or bars I should do a day.. Am I wasting powder by doing 2 scoops at a time is my big concern.

Everyone keeps saying to build muscle I need to eat eat eat and protein protein protein but the eat eat eat part terrifies me.

Don't listen to "Everyone". Figure out what YOU want to do. If it is to build muscle, then you need to increase. If you just want to tone and stay fit, a wellbalanced diet should do the trick. You are NOT wasting protein by doing 52G in one shot... (IMHO)
