xpost-Race Report - 2nd Half - I'm Back!
Hi all,
I know I've been absent for a while. Work just got really REALLY busy, took my son to college, and life just gets in the way. Did my 2nd half today. Didn't train like the first one, but I've been doing gut busting hills with friends on Fridays, and hikes with hubby on weekends, and this half was all flat. It was the San Jose Rock and Roll half marathon. Lots of fun. 16000 people, compared to 2800 my first time. DH walked with me this time, and I used GU, and made sure I used the port-a-potties so I wasn't walking in needing to pee in my pants. We stopped for lots of pics (including one of me on a cop's motorcycle), and made it in 3h 58m as opposed to 4h 11m the first one. But that one I was dragging in, barely making it and this one DH and I jogged across the finish line. The day was beautiful, not too warm, the bands were great, and we had lots of support.
Rock on!
