Kettle bell workout

Started with the five pound one yesterday, got through the warm up and two of the three workouts.  I was very sore but will do it again later this week.  I have been doing the Leslie Sansome walk at home with the height of the 3 miler, interval training on the treadmill and strength training with five pound dumbbells.  I have done some dance and cardio workout and I don't want to hit a plateau with exercise.  Has anyone else done the kettlebell and how did it go?

I am interested in adding this to my mix of exercise.  Is there a dvd that shows you what to do?

I brought mine at Walmart and it is a Danskin product.  the 5 lb one was $14 and including a DVD and a sheet you could use. I like the DVD, the trainer is very helpful and easy to follow.  They come in cute colors based on the size of the kettlebell too!

I love kettlebells!

I have a 26 lb. one that I got at Play it Again Sports. It was new, not used. They have really good prices on weights. I got some dumbbells there too and a medicine ball.

I will have to get one.  I saw them at Walmart but didn't realize that they came with a DVD.  Is it mostly a upper body workout?

It does have a good amount of upper body work but there are lunges that are done and when you have to pass that bell from back to front and from one hand to another under your upper thigh you are getting a good ab and lower body workout.  I am going to do it again Thursday evening and am ALMOST looking forward to doing it.  I know the more I do it the more I will enjoy it but not all the way there yet. I am working on increasing my workout routine so I don't hit a plateau and I am sure this will help.
