c25k weekly check in
I bought the less expensive shapewear at walmart, found with the slips etc. It cost about $30 and it is REALLY tight. It helps alot with the jiggling which tends to leave me sore if I run outdoors. I am going to try to find a longer sleeved super tight top with moisture wicking before my race. (my underarms are swaying! =oP)

Week 5, day 2, done! We've had miserable rain this week. I was so happy to not hear anything when I woke up this morning. First run/walk since Sunday, but, during the wet week, I did Leslie Sansone's in-home walking DVDs. 2 miles and 3 miles, a couple of times. Week 5, Day 3 - the one I've been dreading is probably Sunday. But after today's two 8-minute runs, I am now looking forward to day 3, just to see if I can get through it. :) Oh, and I started a Zumba class tonight. OMG, what a blast! -margaret
Hi Everybody....I'm a few days late. I completed week 3 on Saturday while in Orlando. I posted on youtube. Started week 4 today and am confident that this week will be a success, also.
Bought a pair of Brooks running shoes on Sunday and they feel great. Thanks for the walmart shapewear tip Chakara. I'll check it out tomorrow.
Congrats to everybody, it looks like a great week was has by all pretty much. The Zumba sounds good, too.

Oh, girls. Owwie. LOL... I didn't run for 8 days after the 5K last weekend, and Sunday I just did 30 minutes on the treadmill (the weather was awful). So I decided to go run 5K outside yesterday, as I mapped out a good route out from the house and back, whi*****luded at least 5 minutes walking for warm-up and cool down.
WELL. Lemme tell ya. Two days in a row sucks! I only made it a little more than halfway through yesterday before I just had to walk for a couple of minutes.... first time I've had to do that since starting the program. Then I had to stop and walk three more times on the way home! And last night, hoooo-boy. The knees were like "Yo, ****** what'd you DO to us??" They were so stiff! LOL... here I thought I was ready for that and even though I'd slip in a 4th day of running (which would then make three days in a row... NOT!) but, not so much. Looks like I'll be sticking to 3 days a week for awhile yet!

OK, I'm confused. I still had to stop halfway through today, two days after my last run, and take walk breaks every 2-3 minutes for the rest of the time. WTH?? I probably could have forced myself not to, but dang... is my mindset different now that I've done the race? Is it the weather? (Although it was really nice out there today) I know I haven't been drinking enough, so that could be it too.
Anyone finding they're going through anything similar?
