c25k weekly check in
So we are just pushing along here. Anyone that started the first week should be finishing up about now. I have a little time left. I attribute it to being 275 at my starting poiint. It has been an adjustment. However, I am racing in TWO WEEKS! I absolutely can not believe it. (Won't be much of race though, I think I will be pretty slow.) The shape wear that was suggested really helps control the jiggling and helps with the run. THANKS!!!! I do notice some pain in my hips which is probably due to my weight, and I hope it gets better with time and more loss.
These are the improvements from c25k to date (9 weeks)
I CAN run
I CAN complete an exercise training program, ANY program that I put my mind to!
I have lost 30 pounds in these 9 weeks
I have confidence in my abilities to be able to sustain my weight loss.
Just thought I would share. Feel free to list any of the positives you have gotten so far from c25k.
How are You doing?

I am on Week 3. I had a little trouble yesterday morning, but went back out last night and tried again. I ran a race on 9/25 and finished in 41:33. I have a race scheduled on 10/9 and hope to break the 40 minute mark. I am really enjoying the program. I order a pair of Mizuno running shoes but am not sure if they are right for me. I am going to try to run in my old shoes tomorrow. I got in a hurry and ordered them online and didn't wait til I could get to a running store. I used the roadrunner sports chart but I think I may be better in another pair. I may return them and use my old pair until I can get to the running store when I get my next fill in Columbus.
I can RUN!!!!
I can run/walk 3 miles and not feel dead tired.
I can zumba and not feel out of place.
I can exercise everyday.
I would like to keep these threads going to keep me motivated. Even if it takes me longer than 9 weeks, I will finish c25K.

Congrats on your race! The c25k definitely provides the structure I need. I am planning to keep this thread going for a while. I don't race for 2 weeks and we have had people joining each week. It has really been neat to meet so many people through this thread.
You and I have the same surgeon! I don't see tons of people with my surgeon because he does so many bands and not as many VSGs. =)
Keep pushing forward.

Chakara, you're doing great!! I can't wait to hear all about race day for you!
Amy, good luck tomorrow and have a BLAST!! And make sure someone's taking pictures!
I haven't run since my 5K last Saturday. I know, booooo on me!! It's back at it tomorrow though. I found a route that's fairly flat, out and back from my house with time for a warm-up and cool-down walk, that's exactly 3.1 miles, so now I want to work on getting my time down.
