Hey Everybody...is this what is referred to as "The Exercise Thread?" If so...don't laugh...this is my first post. I walked a mile.

Welcome to the Exercise thread!  We all started with that first mile and are happy to see new people join our ranks.  Don't be a stranger and remember this is your personal journey.   It's tempting to compare yourself to others, but we're all at different stages - some newly post-op and others long-term veterans.

Great Job! A mile is still big. I started that way and now can run 4 miles. Julie

10 mile training run today.  other than a long distance (for me), i took it pretty slow and really enjoyed the beautiful fall day.  Probably my longest run before my half in two weeks.  Glad it felt good!!

Way to Go Andrew! You will totally ROCK your Marathon. Can't wait for the report!

Today I was in Bellevue for my daughters soccer game at Willburtin Hills Park. There's a pretty extensive trail system, so I planned for and did a nice run.  I'm not sure of my distance, because I got lost (the trail stop****s roads and highway, then starts up again...argh).
Anyway, it was about 40 minutes at a comfy pace, lots of rolling and up hill.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Ran 3 miles with hills. Finally didn't rain here so I could run outside, love it. Julie
