I was just checking out the Ohio runners club website and saw a half marathon trail race next Saturday about 15 miles from me. I was in the perfect mood to be stupid and signed up. My longest run in the past few months has been 6 miles on a track ..... Wish me luck!

Haha, I'm pretty sure that's what we all do when we sign up for these races...they seem like such a good idea at the time!!!

Good luck & have fun!!!

Nate,

I think it's great that you've gotten to the point of trusting your fitness level to be spontaneous for the fun of it.  Enjoy the event.

It takes a little bit of crazy to get there. It is awesome that you are feeling healthy enough and confident enough to sign up for a race spur of the moment. Don't trust that little voice of doubt, you will finish and feel stoked!

I think I am a BIGGER MORON than you bro! I just registered for an 8 hour run race tomorrow. The Catch???? a .084 Mile loop as many times as you can! ::BARF::  ... But, I needed a 30-35 mile run tomorrow anyways, so it will all be good, plus it is chip timed so thats cool. We shall see. Good luck to both of us!!!
