I just got back from what was supposed to be a 6 mile tempo run. It was more like a 6 mile race. I did it in 51:54. My 10K PR is 56:06 so I have to go find a 10K here in a few weeks to set a new PR.

Mile 1 -9:07
Mile 2 -8:34
Mile 3 -8:43 Slightly up hill
Mile 4 -7:57 Slightly down hill
Mile 5 -8:41
Mile 6 -8:50

It was an out and back course and mostly flat.

Pretty psyched up right now.

I think that I have been too content to simple run 10K's and not race 10K's.
