Hi there!  You are welcome to join us and report in on Friday how things are going!  We all check in and get encouragement from each other.

If you have an Ipod or iphone you can get cool apps to talk you thru the program.  It is kind of like a trainer whispering in your ear, but only $2.99!

Alot of us use a program called "Get Running"

Good luck and run smart!

Amy

I'm on wk 7 of the Couch to 5k program. I can't believe how much I've improved since day one. BTW week 1 kicked my butt too. Same with wk 2-3-4-5 and 6. But you conquer each week one run at a time.  Here is a link to a great free podcast that you can put on any mp3 or smart phone.

Good luck and happy running.

You find that you have peace of mind and can enjoy yourself, get more sleep, and rest when you know that it was 100% effort that you gave --win or lose.

It's tough not to be nervous in the beginning when you look ahead to the numbers.   Just a few weeks ago many of us were doubting we'd be able to run THREE minutes straight, and now 30 minutes is no problem.... really!  You'll surprise yourself.  Enjoy it (at least the process, if not the actual running part LOL), have fun, and happy birthday!

WOW, I can't wait to be able to run again. I haven't ran in over 20 years. Gosh, that really sounds horrible. I used to play basketball and softball while in school. But, that's the past. this is now and I am so ready for this. I thank God I found this site. You guys are so helpful. It's exactly what I needed.

Thank you for the birthday wishes :)
