Syracuse 70.3 Ironman
I had a great race today. The report will come later. Here are the stats:
Swim: 45:28 (2:23 pace) - almost 5 minutes faster than my goal
T1: 7:23 - slow - quite a hike from the swim exit to transition and didn't want to forget anything
Bike: 3:16 (17.06 mph) - nailed the bike. 14 minutes faster than goal
T2: 6:59 - slow - another hike and didn't want to forget anything
Run: 2:27 (11:13 pace) - about 12 minutes slower than expected; heart rate was high and I got a little dizzy between mile 8 and 9 and had to back off
Overall: 6:43:55 - SWEET!
I estimated 6:45 for the whole thing, so I'm ecstatic to have finished better than goal!
