Well, Got it back in gear this week. I really had no idea how much better my physical condition has become since starting this. I amaze myself constantly! I biked for over 30 minutes this week with no problem. The c25k is easier (easier NOT EASY! lol) than before. I found a definite race this week. October 16th a charity run for a local food bank. I will not be able to "run" it, but i will jog what I can and walk the rest. My goal is to finish. I don't care about the rest of it! (Positive attitude is a definite result of scale moving again. Exercise works!)

Well, We are leaving on vacation this evening, but I booked a hotel with a nice exercise center. This is my first trip away since surgery. The last time I saw my brother, whom we are visiting, it was Christmas and I was 100 pounds heavier. This should be interesting.

I hope you all had a great week! How are we doing?

Good for you!!!

Oh btw jogging is running.  Whatever you do will be great.

I have a friend that is all geared up about speed and what is a run.
I tried to tell him that it depends on what you are doing.  Distance runners are not sprinters, but they are both runners.  I told him that if you used his idea of running, then if you are all out sprinting you aren't running, and that's just crazy.

So give yourself credit, every step you take is a running victory.

I got goose bumps from your reply. Thanks for that. I think I do a lot of negative self talk. Now that I refuse to say I can't, I wish, or "if", I definitely minimize all my accomplishments.  You are right, Running is running. I started this at 275 and 3.5mph was definitely a run. Now it is a steady walk. Seems strange, but It is a fact! Thanks!!!

Way to go Chakara!   Aren't you just all geeked about your 5K now that you're committed?  I am!   I can't remember if I said in the other thread or not, but I went ahead and registered my husband and myself for one on the 25th (week from tomorrow!).  That's officially W9D3, but it's going to take me more like 37-38 minutes to run the whole thing, so I'm modifying the runs this week and next to get me up to about 35 minutes on Monday and Wednesday.

Have a GREAT vacation.  I can't wait to read about your brother's reaction when he sees you!

I can't wait to hear about your race. I am setting my goal to finish in less than an hour. I know that sounds terrible, but when I run outside, I am  much much slower b/c of all the jiggle wiggle movement. (Plus it hurts my hips) Of course I also wanted to set a goal that I could work toward and beat. My hubbie is running with me to motivate me. 4 weeks and counting!

BTW you are going to KILL IT!!!!! I have so much faith in you!

Under Armor controls the wiggle jiggle problem

You can get the Walmart version for $10.00 per shirt or short.
Buy 1 size smaller than you think, but deffinitely try it on.
You want this stuff to squeeze you, it holds everything in place while you run.

Best stuff ever until you, if you get plastic surgery to remove any extra skin!!!!

I did W6D3 yesterday, and I totally choked on the 25 minutes.  I was doing fine and then at about 12 minutes in I just got a mental block, I walked for about a minute/minute and half and then finished up the jog....

I'm going for it again tomorrow....will get through it....will not over think it....

Have fun on your trip.....and for those of you committed to races....way to go....I'll get the nerve up soon.....
