Thanks everyone!  I'm so psyched for this race.  I won't have to battle the heat that Dan so often faces. It'll be in the low 50s at the start.  The water is registering about 63 degrees.  Hopefully, the rain that's in the forecast will fade away.

Bill, this is an official Ironman 70.3 in Syracuse, NY.  I'm bib 1199.  Fortunately, it's in my backyard, so I've had plenty of opportunity to ride the course in preparation for the 10 miles of hills on the front end of the course.  I'll definitely be looking at negative splits on the bike.  I'll be lucky to average 10-11 mph the first quarter; but, I should average 15-16 mph overall.
