Earphones for Running
I have seen several people using an over the ear model.
I haven't used them myself.
Like these here You can get them in a variety of styles and costs. I have seen them as low as 5-8 bucks and I imagine the sky is the limit.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Can I suggest that if you run on the road you put the left one in and secure the other on so that you can hear the traffic better.

For your concern, I thank you Scott! I run/walk on the track at this point. As I improve and my family/ work/ life tries to chip away at my workout time I may actually take it to the street. A few years ago a 42 year old wife & mom was killed while jogging early in the morning by a car in the community right next to mine. I always remember her. Again, thanks!
my ears were not designed for buds. I've used over the ear ones happily. I have some buds on a headband that i like, but only when I have a ponytail to hold the headband on top of my head.
Read my blog, BARIATHLETE I run because I can.
