FIRST CENTURY!!!!

I am so proud of myself.  I know I am a day late posting, but this past Sunday I done my first century.  102.5 miles, in 7 hours 55 minutes averaging 15.5 mph.  Yes, I was the last to finish, but I do not care.  Considering a 10 months ago, I as 460 lbs and could not even walk to the garage to look at my bike.  In the past 10 months I lost 235 lbs, had hernia  surgery since bypass in March, I have to say, I have done awesome.  My next goal is to do one in the spring in under 7 hours.

I did not take care of my body well during the ride.  I think I either had some dehydration issues or not enough nutrition, because I have been sicker than a dog, with a migraine for the last 20 hours.  Just now feeling like I will live again.

Sorry if I sound conceited, but I feel like bragging today.

brag away, a century ride is a great accomplishment, well done.  sounds like you definitely had some hydration/nutriton issues to work out, but that comes in time and trial/error with what works for you.  great work!
