Hello Everyone,

I have not been here is a sec.  but I thank you all for encouraging me to work out.  I have met a gentleman who is a fitness buff with an amazing body (yummy) and I am realizing how nice it is to have someone in your life that shares your lifestyle.  Last night I really did not want to go to the gym...but he called me and kept encouraging me..and since my mom was in town I went.  This is perfect for me when I was done i was so glad I did it.  I love the support ...does it make a difference for you guys?

My husband, God bless him, is naturally thin and athletic.  He doesn't work out at all (but works hard), eats whatever including chocolate almost daily, and still wears the same size pants at age 40 that he did in high school.  He is starting to show a little softness in the middle but it hasn't changed his size or shape yet.

He did decide to run with me when I started doing C25K, although he could go run one right now probably in under 25 minutes, and it's made it more fun.  Even when I told him he didn't have to slog along at my pace and could go ahead and take off, he still doubles back here and there to chat with me, and he makes me laugh all the time and it's so much more fun with him!   He's also been SUPER-supportive and tells me after each run how proud of me he is, and wants to keep going past 5K with me into 10Ks and hopefully halfs.  So yes... it does make a huge difference in motivating me, when I know it's going to be fun, and I imagine him waiting at the finish line for me to cross!

It is so nice and I never had that before...My ex husband probably did a physical activity once ever with me in 12 yrs.  He was very slim but never worked out and although I was Morbidly Obese I was always trying to lose weight.  He was so insecure he didnt want that to happen.  It feels so good to have someone in your corner who has your back.  I am so happy about this surgery...my life is great!

My new boyfriend is a mountain biker/soccer player and I am a runner.  We have spent weekends going to eachother's events and cheering eachother on, which I think is awesome.  He is now starting the couch to 5k, and we hope we can run together soon.  Even if we don't, we both make time to get our exercise in, and that can often mean I go for run while he goes for a ride.  we cover different distances, but take the same amount of time.

This is a great change from my ex who would go for a walk with me, but would rather read a book and drink a cup of coffee.  I've nearly stopped watching TV now because we are enjoying so much activity.

Well like i state in another post.  i see large men all the time that I think are attractive but I would not date an unhealthy person.  Its like a recovering addict dating an addict.  I dont want to go back to the old me!

My husband is so supportive, it really is so nice.  Even my kids help me out.  Not sure what I would of done without him.  He has gone running with me a few times and is always asking me how my workouts were.  Time makes it so we can't always workout together, but he always asks me about it.

it is so nice to have the support.  My husband and I are working out together, since I had surgery, he's also watched his diet and weight and has dropped a bunch and getting fitter at the gym

We encourage each other to go, or pick at each other for being lazy and not wanting to go...so it is like pier pressure and we end up going to not be the "lazy" one....

It is fun.....especially now that we encourage each other to be healthier instead of encouraging that extra bite or additonal drink....

Yeah, having any kind of support person makes a big difference.  I have had a running partner (and cycling) for the past three years and it great to get the encouragement and support to get out there an accomplish something.  Plus, since you never want to let them down you always show up no matter how your feeling.  My wife actually jokes that I spend more time with Susan than I do with her.
