Hi Everyone,

I am a lurker on this site an avid runner and cyclist. I sure am in need of some reassurance. I've been struggling with plantar faciitis for a couple of months and this past Thursday finally had corizones injections in both feet. Today, I am in so much pain I literally need help walking to the bathrooom. It's really bad and I'm really bummed out today. I read online about a side effect called cortizone flare up which I may be experiencing. I am icing them like crazy trying to get some relief.

Have any of you experienced this? Please tell me it will get better soon and it was worth getting the shots. I'm not suppose to run for two weeks and at this point I'm hoping I just walk in two weeks :o(

Thank you in advance for your support. Since I don't post often let me say this....I admire all of your hard work and accomplishments. This E F Forum is the best.

I haven't heard of that before, but I'm in pharmacy school and would be happy to see what I can find.

Hi Linn,

I would love to hear any info you might have. I can walk today thank goodness. Yesterday I was completely debilitated. I've never had so much pain before. I seriously doubt that I would ever accept a cortizone shot again.

Thanks for responding to my post.

Hi Teresa,

I had a cortizone injection in my wrist a few years back and same thing happened to me. I couldn't move my wrist hardly and was wondering if I had made a right choice. The pain did go away after 2-3 days and it was fine after. Good luck and hope your pain subsides soon.
