Brought tears to my eyes
A big WOW moment for me!! Some of you know that I am doing the C25K program and that I did my first 5k last weekend. I finished in 40 minutes 10 sec. I am very happy with that time!! I posted some of the race pictures on my facebook account. One of my friends from high school (we graduated in 1978) saw them and made the comment that they made her smile. She said "Who's have guessed you'd one day be an athlete? And yet some of the HS jocks have, shall we say, gone to seed." She called ME an athlete!!! It is making me cry again just typing this. Thank you, Susan.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good for you Kim! That's awesome! We have a welness programe at work and part of it is getting a fitness assessment. Well, 48 year old me, beat out all the young whipper snipers at work and held the wall sit record at 4 minutes and 1 second! So I understand the sense of accomplishment you speak of. Keep up the good work!

Congrats Kim! It's only better from here.
Hugs from one athlete to another!

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning inAfrica , a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
