I ran 8.5 miles- my longest distance yet! Not sure I am ready for my first half on the 26th, but will keep training like I am going to do it.

You can do it.  That was the longest run I did before my 1/2 marathon.  The excitement of the day will start you off, probably stronger than you want to start.  Then as you get near the end you will just keep going because it is so close that it is almost over.  When you get real close you will probably hear the finish line and that will make you speed up again.

Crossing that finish line will feel wonderful and the previous 13.1 mile will seem like nothing.

You will be amazed how good you feel.  Tired but good.

Bike ride today 68 miles.
Finally a ride that wasn't so cold at the start that I had to wear long sleeve and long riding pants.
