Did 11.5 mile run today. Every since signing up for the 1/2 marathon I want to do a long run at least once per week. I'm starting an abbreviated 1/2 marathon training program tomorrow. I've got 5 weeks to go.

Have a great Sunday...Debbie

Rob, I did quite the workout in honor of your birthday ...

56 mile bike
4 mile run
30 minute swim

It was the last endurance brick before the Syracuse 70.3 in 2 weeks.

Now starts the taper. With only 10 hours of training over the next 2 weeks, I might actually have to clean house.

Did my first swim/run brick of the season. The "run" was sad. I have the endurance but the calf still isn't there. Anyhoo...

37 min OWS, .93 miles
35 min walk/run, 2.5 miles

did you proud rob...

Did the 3 Gap half century route (54.27 miles) with 3 mountain climbs and plenty of nasty rollers, 6,385 ft elevation gain, took 3 hours and 42 minutes to complete. the mountains kicked my butt, but it was a good training run for the 6 gap century (3 more mountains to climb on that one with an elevation gain of 11,230 ft) in a couple of weeks. check out this link for more info... http://www.cyclenorthgeorgia.com/index.php?option=com_conten t&task=view&id=51&Itemid=35

Wow!  Amazing results today from everyone.  It is great to have so many cyber-friends churning out results today!  Although my legs felt a year older today, I struck out early today at 5:30am in the chilly winds and ran 11.6 miles.  It was great although I had forgotten about how different it was to run solo for such a distance.

Had a wonderful day celebrating my birthday.  Every year when I celebrate my birthday I thank goodness that I had my RNY which has enabled me to do the things I do today and look forward to every opportunity and challenge that I can expect in my future.
