c25k weekly check in
Good morning c25k friends,
I repeated w2d3 and it wasn't so bad. Problem is that when I moved on to w3 unexpected family visited and stayed during the holiday weekend. I planned to go to the gym and the track but I only made 2 of the w3 workouts. AAArghhh. I'll do w3d2 again tonight before I move onto w4.
I realize I won't be ready to run/jog the 5k on Oct 3 but I may sign up anyway and walk/jog/walk the course. I'm scared because I don't want to be the last one. If I decide to do it, I think I'll still feel good about my personal physical progress and accomplishment in the name of my BFF who died from breast cancer in 2007. There is a 5k walk in her home town (30-40 min away) on Oct 16 and I may do that one but my true goal was to run. I'm still deciding.
Finally, I did get fitted for real running shoes at a running specialty store when I started this whole thing. First time I ever wore shoes this big, who knew?!. I noticed my toes and feet get numb after about 15 minutes of walk/jogging. Is this normal. I knew shin splints were the norm but this was unexpected.
