Rough week for me too with eating too much, exercising and being down in the dumps. I did manage to walk on some days and jog 3 miles a couple times but not enough. I will refocus and do better this week. Still want to work on my speed so I will get back to the couch to 5 k program with jogging/running. Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend. Julie

Ohhhhh, Happy Happy  HAPPPYYYYYYY!!!!   It's cold (59) and gray and very windy here today, just felt like holing up in the house all day long and kept putting it off and putting it off, and finally forced myself to get out for W6D3 about an hour ago, and WOW.... It felt better, easier and stronger than the 20 minute run felt a week ago!  I was definitely tired and winded by then end, but for the first time, instead of wondering if I was gonna make it, I could have kept going (but wouldn't have wanted to LOL).  First time without sticking the ear buds in too, so my hubby and I talked more during the run and he kept me entertained and laughing through a lot of it.

Keep it up folks, this program really, really works.  This is the first and only time EVER in my life I've run this far or long (same with the 20 last week!).  I'm loving this!!

Good Job Stacy!!!!!! Yeah!  I am so glad for you! You have really done fantastic on this program! Getting closer and closer to being a "runner."

I am so curious about that 20 minute run.  It seems so out of place.  I'm only in week 2, and that w5 d3 run is freaking me out.  I keep looking at it and wonder why such a jump -- to push and challenge?  At first I thought it was a glitch on my app, but then saw it on C25K website.   Will I be stuck on that day until I can do it?  -m

HI Chakara,
I am about 60 miles from Dayton and my friend and I will be doing the AirForce 5K on September 17th, and the Ghost and Goblins 5K on October 26th (night time run). You may want to consider the October one and come in costume!!!
I am doing my first 10K at Oktoberfest in Minster October 3rd, so that will be interesting.

Thanks for the heads up on the runs. I think the ghost and goblins run sounds so fun. I can not even fathom doing a 10k at this point. I wonder if I will make it through the 5k. I am like the little train that could. . . I think I can, I think I can, I think I can! =)

This constantly amazes me.  Starting Week 7 today, so it's all 25 minute runs, same as W6D3 was.  The difference was we went out to my parents' for the afternoon and took the route I always used to take (when I lived there) every time I'd get a bug up my butt about trying to run again.  Back then I'd walk just over a mile, then try to run from the railroad tracks to the bridge... a whopping two-tenths of a mile.  A couple of times I made it a little extra to three-tenths.  Today it was so awesome to have run 2/3s of the entire route (which is 3 miles) during those 25 straight minutes, with more hills than here at home.  My hubby said "Have I told you lately how proud of you I am?" (he has lol)

Honestly I'm almost as happy to have started this program as I was to have had the surgery in the first place, but I also know I would have given up on the program probably when we started hitting those 3 and 5 minute runs, had I not had the surgery.  I'm feeling really, really grateful lately... ya know?
