Okay How did we do?
Day 1  missed
Day 2  28 min 1.6 miles
Day 3  skipped
Target Race I am actively looking for the right race. Hoping for early to mid Oct.
Maybe the Dayton River Corridor Classic or Children's Miracle Network Charity Run

Truth told, I have just had a terrible week with being motivated. I am ashamed to say it after starting this thread. However, I have to be accountable to my choices. I missed Friday b/c my neice was born, and things have just continued from there. The thing is I neglected my other work outs too. I don't know whats wrong with me. This week, Back on the wagon! How about You?

Remember it is not about how fast we get there, it is all about the finish!

I started this week.  Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  All went pretty well.  Should I wait until Sunday again, or just keep going every other day?  I'm planning on running my company's annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  I'm thinking of finding one in October as a 'test' to see where I'm at.   My brother started the day after me, so we are keeping eachother in check long distance.  He's in CA, I'm in MD.  A great way to connect more often!  I hope we both stay motivated all the way through...  :)  -margaret

Well, It can be done either way. The actual c25k is set up to do weekly for 9 weeks. However, If you feel good, I would move on. That way, if you hit a tough spot, then you will have the extra leeway to repeat a day or two as needed. That is just my two cents. =) Glad you have gotten started. Welcome to the thread.

 Chakara,

It is hard to get back on the roll if you skip....even one day off your routine, will throw you off.  You are doing great!

This week I am officially graduating myself from week 4...I did it, did all 3 days and doing all of the runs!!!!

I had to hide the display on the treadmill so that I couldn't see the timer, that way I couldn't psyche myself because it had been a long time.  Also on the 5 minute runs I lowered the speed from 4.2 to 3.9 and was able to do them....no probs....

Tomorrow I startd Day 1 of Week 5~  I wonder how many weeks I'll be on that one....

Happy Friday everyone!

This week has been pretty good, I had to change my days up a little because of a support group meeting on Wed, but I ran Thurs instead, and I'll do run three tomorrow.  That will get me back on track for MWF run days.

The 25 minute runs are challenging, don't let me kid you!  But they are doable!  Next week is 28 minutes, and I keep telling myself that if I can do 25, I can do 28!  Isn't it amazing how quickly our endurance and strength increases?  Think about it, week one was hard...but week three was 3x as long, but we could do it!

Keep up the good work!

That was a great peice of encouragement. Week one was overwhelming the first week. Now, not so much. You keep on running! When is your race for the ta-tas?

Day 1 (Monday) was aaaacccckkkkkk! this week (finished it but it was hard and didn't feel good) , but Day 2 on Wednesday was great.  Tomorrow's the 25-minute run... wish me luck, and good luck to everyone else going for it too!

The 25 minute run is tough, but...if you can do the 20 minute run...you CAN do the 25 minute!  Find your happy place in your head and push on through!
