5K race report - PR!

Finally broke 23 minutes in a 5K race today.  All i can say is, super flat course + cool weather = PR.  I was able to run negative splits of 7:13, 7:11, and 7:05 per mile respectively for a time in the mid 22's.  Felt great to get this one under my belt, i've been struggling with an IT band issue lately and dealing with the heat this summer has really shaken my confidence (heat is like my kryptonite).  Finished 5th our of 100 or so for the race, there really weren't any big time racers entered into this one.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Awesome job Bill. I love to see the negative splits and don't downplay the 5th place finish. Any time you are better than 95 out of 100 people, you are doing something right!!! Congrats.

Way to go!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
