3 mile run this morning at my fastest pace yet -- around 10.5 min/mile. Tomorrow I'm running my first 5k. I've walked them before, but have never ran an entire race. I'm excited and nervous!

Good luck on your 5K tomorrow.  You've really been making some great progress over the last few weeks in distance and pace!

With 3 weeks 'til my half Ironman, today was another brick workout - 56 miles on the bike, followed by a 3.4 mile run.

I was pretty excited with this ride.  I averaged 16 mph on the course.  Last ride was 15.3 mph.  It's hilly terrain, so this is pretty much race pace for me.  Once I got off the bike and found my legs, I was able to average 10-minute miles, so not too bad.

I did 7.5 miles this morning in 1:31! That is good for me! I have only done 7.2 before so this was a PR! I am hoping to do my first half marathon the end of September.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
