Lake Delta Olympic Distance Triathlon.  Unfortunately, I punctured my tire beyond repair a little over halfway into the 40K bike course.  Although the stats will show a DNF, I still rank the 10k once I got back to transition so I could get my miles in for the day.  Better this race than the 70.3.

The weather was a challenge.  The rain started as we entered the water for the 1500 meter swim and it continued for the bike and run.

Crappy run day I'm afraid.

Had intentions of running 12 miles today
got to the 5.5 mile point and turned around
Lost steam around mile 9.
Walked about 50% of the last couple of miles.
Blech.

Hopefully this is just one of those off weeks. Have a 1/2 Marathon in Santa Rosa next weekend.

Rest day for me, unless pacing back and forth along the soccer field sidelines while my daughter kick some balls counts?
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

was gonna rest after some hard soccer last night.. but after a way too huge meal at the Indian Restaurant, decided I needed a 3 mile run and a good shoulder/ab workout.  Guilt gone, feeling stronger!
