Over did it

So last Sunday I overdid it with the exercise.  I ran 4.5 miles then walked a mile & then what did me in was the half hour I did of Barry's Boot Camp that focused on the lower body.   Funny thing is I was in no pain on Sunday so I went for my run as usual on Monday morning and the 12 minute version of Barry's Boot camp.  Well needless to say by 10am Monday morning,  I was in the most intense pain.  Walking was extremely difficult, I had lost my appetite and just felt extremely sick... and it got worse Tuesday!!!!!  Apparently I had a delayed onset of muscle soreness and it was so extreme it put me out of commission the entire week!  I was able to go for a walk yesterday morning and felt so much better.  I knew the exercise was helping me mentally but i had no idea how much until i went without it for close to a week!  Back in action with a 3.5 mile run this morning but i am stopping there!  I want to be able to exercise daily... grrrrr.. thanks for reading this lengthy post.. i just had to share.

Susan,

The same thing just happened to me. I did the Insanity workout and could barely walk for days - my calves were so sore it hurt to even touch them.

I'm glad to hear you are doing better and back to exercising. It's tough when we can't exercise!
