Okay How did we do?
Day 1 25 minutes 1.4 mi
Day 2 25 minute fast walk 1.4
Day 3 3+ mile walk (wanted to get a feel for the distance)
Target Race I am actively looking for the right race. Hoping for early to mid Oct.
Maybe the Dayton River Corridor Classic or Children's Miracle Network Charity Run

The ankles are both still pretty sore, but better all in all. I am not doing the running portion like I wanted to, but I have picked up my walking speed and I am covering more distance walking then I did when I was jogging. i do throw in a couple of short jogs each day. Once my ankles start hurting, I slow to a fast walk. I am just going to press forward. I will be closer than I was before, as long as I continue to push forward. How about You?

Remember it is not about how fast we get there, it is all about the finish!

starting the couch to 5k over. This time jogging when suppose to be walking and running on the jogging part. Trying to work on speed. Did this once this week and will try to get another one or two in. Other days I either walk, swim or jog my 3 miles. I also like to bike but haven't done that for awhile. I'll finish Week 4 tomorrow morning, and then pack up and head up north camping for the week.  I'm taking all my  stuff though, so I do plan on doing Week 5 up there.  Should be interesting, my hubby's either gonna have to run with me or follow in the car, 'cause I'm nervous about flesh-eating critters deciding I make a tempting moving target!    We've got lots of bears as well as cougars up where we go and they make me a bit nervous.  Not quite as nervous as Week 5 makes me LOL... but I'm gonna try it.  At this point, I can not imagine being able to run 20 minutes straight in a week,  but we'll see what happens!   Probably won't check back in now for about 9 days or so, so everybody have a great week and good luck with Week 5!!

Great to hear that you will be having a get away! I am a little jealous. I am going to the OH conference in Cincy tomorrow thanks to a nice member giving me her tickets. =-) I am so glad to hear that you are just plugging away at this, just do us a favor and drop in to let us know when you are back. (Just to set my mind at ease that you weren't eaten by a bear!) lol Good Luck and Have Fun!

I will do week 5 run 3 tonight!  Runs 1 and 2 went well.  The eight minute runs were challenging, but very doable.  I have the 20 minute run tonight and am scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.

Oh, btw....running has really revved up my weight loss!  Since week 2 I have lost 3 pounds per week!  I just hope it keeps up!

Keep on trucking everyone!

My race is October 2nd, "Save the Ta-Tas"!

I think it is fantastic to watch your progress on this! I have faith that you will show that 20 minute interval who the boss really is! lol Let us know how it goes.
ps I am not sure but I think this extra activity is upping my burn rate as well. I am losing major inches!

Week 5 completed!! I can't believe I ran 20 minutes. All wee****pt saying that I was going to repeat days but when I got to the gym, I went for it. Last night I told myself I would stop after 10 minutes then I just kept challanging myself and I did it. I even clapped for myself. The people next to me probably thought I was crazy!! I did slow my pace down some but not alot.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks, I know you can do it. Listen to your body and not your head. My head kept trying to convince me I needed to stop. I just kept telling it to go alittle further and then we would stop.
