Today's plan called for 17 miles running at 11:00 pace. The result was 16.8 miles @ avg pace of 10:53 in 3:02:47. Feeling good. Looking for a 2 hour ride on the bike tonight.... WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY????

Today was GREAT!!!! After my wonderful massage yesterday (she worked on my neck and calves and thighs) I felt great...she also showed me some great stretches to help me out.  So, today was a quick warm-up on the treadmill 1 mile@ 10.20, legs and abs, rowing 1900 meters in 10:15, shoulders and abs, stair climber, triceps and abs...
Had two people come up to me today and ask me about some of the exercises I was doing...made me feel really good!!!

sharp pain in my lower back doing reverse sit-ups, ran and did stairmaster afterwards like a dumb-ass and am paying for it now.  serious pain in the lower back/upper hammy region.  hopefully a couple of days of rest will sort it out before my race on saturday.

Bill,

Take some HOT Epsom Salt Baths 2 x's a day and I am guessing your back issues are steming from your tight hammy's or vice versa... Just take it easy and let it heal up bro. That sucks...

You are doing awesome as always! Glad to see your back in full swing. I know it's your "happy" place.

Yesterday, was my off day so I took a power yoga class. It was soooo awesome! I think it will help me stay injury free through out my training. I'm learning my muscles like to stay tense and yoga will help me learn to relax them somewhat. The instructor is awesome! Have a good day!
